841 Dad’s been busy the past week in his spare time. I showed up last night to an almost-planked float half – which left me time to Dremel out the gaps between the planks and bog them together while he planked the last two sheets. Spent maybe an hour doing this, which included talking and still occasionally admiring the joined stbd.

835 839 843 845 Although I wasn’t able to do any work on the boat last weekend, dad was able to finish taping the keel joins on the stbd. float, rough-cut the transom off, and rough-fair the float after removing it from the frames. Must admit, looks a lot better than we were expecting. Not sure what we WERE expecting, but nothing looking this “good” for two people that have never built a fiberglass boat before π

A very exciting day, though not *quite* as complete as I really wanted (what can I say – tired, sore and hungry… it was quittin’ time)
Started today off with the surprise of a third float half that had the keel foam cut and sanded and the deck flange trimmed
762 This meant we could go straight to work getting the half suspended above into place and start marking areas that needed to be trimmed for a proper fit.
