Hardly had any time this weekend to work on the boat – some personal commitments and work emergencies took priority. I also forgot the camera, so no exciting pictures of sanding in progress.. 😉
We’re going to consider the deck finished unless for some reason it looks horrific once the primer is on. Rotated the float on its side and applied the first layer of fairing compound with the notched trowel. Have it about 60% down right now and the area from the aft beam to the transom has been sanded and the first full layer of fairing compound applied.
Went to eat lunch while it dried and decided that since it was such a beautiful day and I had to leave soon anyway, some time should be spent at the lake cleaning the current boat and going for a quick 30 minute motor up and down the water. Discussed a few things on the F-22, but mostly wished I didn’t have to leave as the wind started to freshen and both of us wanted to raise the sails.
Time spent: 5 hours
