What an exciting morning!
Dad busted his arse Saturday taking out all the screws and making sure the hull was free from the battens. I got there this morning at around 09.30am and he and our friend Fred were already there discussing how to make this all happen.

How exciting!
We’re planning on spending this coming Sunday (May 4th, 2008) taking the first main hull half out of the mold. I can hardly wait. Only things left to finish up before taking out:
Take out a few hundred screws Sand/Grind the last few patch spots Sand/Grind some tape edges Tape the under-side of the aft cabin bunk I’m guessing it’s going to be an all-day ordeal Sunday, since we’ll have to hoist the boat up a few feet and then take down the form-frames to make room to get it out of the garage.

Ok – calling it quits for the evening. Did not have quite enough time to tape everything; Sette is taped and finished, aft cabin forward bulkhead is bogged in place, aft cabin bunk is bogged in place.
All that’s left now is to fillet/tape the aft cabin forward bulkhead and aft cabin bunk, grind a few more spots and take this hull out of the mould. 🙂
