Just wanted to post a quick update.  Apparently dad is just about finished planking (or is finished by this time) from the keel to the turn of the gunwale.  It’s been rather cold again this week (temps in the 20’s and 30’s F) and I don’t think he’s managed to bog the foam together.  Am also unsure of HD being put in the keel yet.  There is a chance that we might be able to fiberglass it when I get back into town in 2 weeks (am in San Francisco right now and then off to Los Angeles next week for work).  If I can ever get back in town to help him, maybe we can keep building a boat – but I must admit the break is nice right now. 🙂
