Long time since I’ve put anything in here, but due to work commitments, being sick for 2 weeks, and dad going out of town for vacation, not too much has happened lately.
Although I don’t have pictures right now (will take some in the next few days) – we are almost finished making all the required flat panels for the main hull. Decided it was best to do all this now while we have the large and flat working area of the strong back before we take away all the garage space with the form frames and hull.

2123 2126 This leaves a little extra room in the workshop….
2116 and after shaving off some of the dried epoxy and fiberglass, we were able to flip the MDF sheets over and have a clean working surface to start tracing out main hull bulkheads
2143 I’m trying some “new” fasteners from the Raptor Nail folks (well, they were a new product when they came out and I bought them… been sitting for a while)

It’s taken way too long for us to get to this point. Between schedules and work commitments, just too much time has passed since starting the port float.
After Saturday’s burst of motivation, we finished fairing the float enough for primer, and I stayed up late cutting the chain plate and putting HD epoxy in to act as spacers
2101 This left me with some small things to finish up Sunday morning (including LOTS of time with the vacuum) and enough time to shoot two coats of high-build primer before heading back home.
