Shaped and glassed over chainplate and then put down base fairing for deck on port float
2062 While this was drying I quickly touched up the daggerboard case and put it “away” on top of the scaffold until it’s needed before joining the main hull halves
2086 Glued together the mold for the wing net rail supports (still need to round over the edges)
2072 I did a little sanding before I ran out of steam, and then decided to play with the beam mounts that came in last week.

Outside face of the port float is ALMOST ready for primer. Put the last few bits of filler on the remaining pinholes late this evening but took no pictures. Am really impressed and pleased at how good this side came out, as neither of us thought it would look very good. The outside face of the port float was the very first half we planked, and part of it cracked moving it outside many months ago.

I’ll spare the boring details of fairing the float – suffice to say that we’re still making (slow) progress on it. Have been spending some time fairing and then some time doing other bits to keep prepping for the main hull.
This weekend I joined the daggerboard case. Due to some other commitments I was unable to rip the spacers needed during the week, and dinner out with friends of the family meant it was too late to fire up the saw Saturday evening.
