2009 Also painted the inside of the daggerboard case halves with the System Three Waterborne LPU – just brushed it on because, well, the only thing that MIGHT see the inside of the case are fish, and even then the board will be in the way.

Not too much to write here as it’s been seen before, but the port float (outside face) is being faired first
1994 also took the time to (ugh) fair the inside of the daggerboard case (very quickly, mind you) because of the issue with the port half of the case.
1998 The starboard half is in primer right now and I ordered a few more gallons of high-build primer from System Three, as well as a quart of dark grey WLPU for the inside of the case.

I’m going to back up a few weeks to say that due to a lack of thought when attaching the deck to the port float, the reference lines I needed for extra layers of fiberglass at the large access hatch were not transferred to the visible side. Some measurements were made and a few cuts with the hole saw made in order to feel for the stringers inside. When we glassed the deck in place, a big assumption was made that the access holes I drilled in the deck would be in the same area as the large access hatch… Was finally able to go to the storage unit with a tape measure to measure where the hatch ended up on the starboard float (yes – this should have been done before the hole was cut….
